The Cape Jourimain Interpretive Centre is a state-of-the-art eco-facility located directly behind our Entry Pavilion. The centre employs a number of green technologies, including a geothermal heat pump, composting toilets, rainwater collection, grey water recycling, and solar panels. Inside, you’ll find an array of public amenities, such as an extensive exhibit hall, a scenic observation tower, and a local art gallery.

Our extensive exhibit hall will take you on a journey through the ages of Cape Jourimain. Discover everything that makes this area so amazing, such as the famous iceboat service, the complex marshland ecosystem, the iconic Confederation Bridge, Acadian aboiteau farming, and much more!

World Class Bird Carvings

Featuring more than 20 world-class bird carvings by renowned carver Jim Edsall, the Cape Jourimain exhibit hall provides a multi-layered look at the diverse array of species living in this coastal region. Click here to see Jim Edsall’s work.

Observation Tower

You’ll be amazed by the 360° degree view that our four-story observation tower has to offer. You’ll enjoy the best views of the Confederation Bridge, the Cape Jourimain beach, our on-site osprey nest, the saltwater marshes, and our unique forest ecosystem (no wheelchair access).
