Jourimain Through the Ages – Museum Tour

Take a walk through time on a guided tour through our extensive exhibit hall which takes visitors on a journey through the amazing history of Cape Jourimain.

  • Time – 20 min.

Illuminating the Point – Lighthouse Walk

A guided walk along a coastal trail which takes visitors to our newly restored lighthouse. Visitors will learn about the forest ecosystem, the history of the crossing service, and the legacy of this incredible structure.

  • Time – 40 min.
  • Considerations – 30 minute round-trip walk; lighthouse is not wheelchair accessible.

Rising Tides – Beach Explore

Experience Cape Jourimain’s stunning seashore, offering unsurpassed views of the Confederation Bridge. Visitors will learn about Cape Jourimain’s coastal ecosystem and the different species inhabiting the Northumberland Strait.

  • Time – 30 min.
  • Considerations – Beach is not wheelchair accessible.

Sustaining the Future – Green Tech at Cape Jourimain

Discover the cutting-edge environmental technology used at Cape Jourimain and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at what keeps our eco-centre running.

  • Time – 20 min.

The Flying Fisher – Looking for Osprey

Join us on an adventure to find one of Canada’s most skilled avian predators. Visitors will be provided binoculars and taken to our on-site osprey platform where they will have a chance to see one of the National Wildlife Area’s wild ospreys.

  • Time – 20 min.
  • Considerations – Presence of osprey is unpredictable and there is no guarantee that one will be seen.
